You need an IRC client. You can use mIRC, or Colloquy, or XChat. mIRC is for Windows, Colloquy is for Mac OS X, and XChat is for Windows and Linux.

meh, sounds complicated

Just download and install the appropriate program, click the link, and Firefox will tell ask you if you want to use it, click on the program you have, then you'll get taken right to the IRC channel. Not complicated at all.

Use a proxy. Or 7 proxies.

I like Proximizer. Finding an open proxy that FreeNodes will accept is hard, though.
I just use my own IP when using IRCs.

mIRC is free, you just have to wait a little before the "connect" button comes to life. You don't have to pay anything.
That's what I'm using and I reached the Irc channel without any problems.

@Tomberry hey thanks, @Shadowfury I was working with the ResHack yesterday, it turns out I have to actually extract the installer and go in and edit the mIRC.exe it's self not the setup file, the only problem i face is utter corruption of the setup file and not being able to uninstall it.

Oh no, I haven't banned him. You see, tomorrow, there will be a new system in place that will allow users to rate eachother's karma. It's going to be one of the best new features around. Once a user's karma level drops to a certain point, then we know that some sort of further action ought to be taken.

Redspear, how are you feeling about your karma?

That is true. I can't disagree with that fact. Oh well, we'll what we'll see tomorrow in terms of how the users feel about different users. This is going to be done anonymously, right?

Yeah, we can't say he didn't contribute anything. But it would have been nice if there had been less trolling and more contributing on his part.

Every one of his entries has been terrible. I have done entire rewrites on almost everything he's ever submitted, as I have done for most poorly written meme entries, especially since he's so vocal about demanding help.

Most of you who have had meme submissions confirmed are familiar with the fact that we admins will edit your entries, correct? When an article is in Submissions and is being researched, that means what it says. It is literally waiting in queue for Admins to turn them into an article that provides as many verifiable facts about the meme as we can find about it.

Take a look at the entries of his that I haven't gotten to yet.

On top of that, there have been times that I've just finished editing one of his entries, and he sends me a message saying "I just fixed this up."

I've banned him before, and other admins had me unban him since he sent us email after email talking about how he loves the site so much and he promises he'll never do it again etc etc etc.

I will not be updating anything else that Redspear submits.
