Send It To Me Rachel, also known as Jesus Was Seen, refers to a viral video from TikTok of a woman telling her mom that Jesus was seen in Ohio and her mom believing it, asking her daughter, named Rachel, to send it to her. In the video, the mom gets emotional and is on the verge of crying. Originally posted by TikToker @cryinglawyer in late 2022, the video resurfaced numerous times in the years following, leading to a viral TikTok trend in 2024 in which creators lip-dubbed the audio, posing humorous scenarios that matched the woman's hysterics. The video also surfaced en masse on Easter, referencing the resurrection of Jesus.

Origin

On December 25th, 2022, TikToker^[1] @cryinglawyer posted a video of her pranking her mother, telling her "Jesus was seen." Her mother seemed to believe it because she got emotional, on the verge of tears, asking her daughter Rachel to send it to her. The video was part of the Celebrity Death Prank trend. Over two years, the video received roughly 12.1 million plays and 2.6 million likes (shown below).

The video was quickly reposted by X^[2] user @rahsh33m on December 26th, 2022, who wrote, "'Send it to me baby' LMFAOOOOOOOO," gaining over 24,000 likes in two years (shown below, left).

On December 27th, X^[3] user @davenewworld_2 also tweeted the video, asking, "Why are religious people so gullible," receiving over 15,000 likes in two years (shown below, right).

The video went viral again on X^[4] in March 2023. It also went viral on Reddit when Reddtor^[5] El_Diablo_09 posted it to /r/religiousfruitcake on September 11th, 2023, writing, "This is sad," gaining over 5,500 upvotes in seven months.

The video resurfaced en masse after the premiere of Dune: Part Two in theaters, centering on jokes about the Lisan al-Gaib prophecy. For instance, on March 1st, 2024, X^[6] user @holzawn tweeted a re-dub of the video to fit Dune, gaining over 1,200 likes in a month (shown below).

On March 28th, 2024, TikToker^[7] @colby4607 posted the video with a text caption reading, "How it feels asking your friends for the photos you took together on their phone," gaining over 3.9 million plays and 1 million likes in six days (shown below, left).

The video started a viral sound^[8] that was used by others going into the following month, such as TikToker^[9] @diz_beach_ on April 1st, 2024, whose video earned over 2.2 million plays and 587,700 likes in two days (shown below, right).
