Pissing All By Yourself Handsome? refers to Rouge the Bat interrupting Sonic the Hedgehog in the bathroom and asking him if he's peeing all by himself. A TikToker voiced over the catchphrase written on a bath mat and inspired the creation of a viral video using their voice-over to be uploaded to YouTube and TikTok in early 2022. A participatory media trend emerged where women would slide beneath the toilets of men about to piss and lip dub the sound and phrase.

Origin

On April 7th, 2022, Twitter^[1] user peanutcola tweeted a photo of a toilet-shaped bath mat with Sonic character Rouge the Bat saying, "Pissing all by yourself handsome?," subsequently playing on the Alone On A Friday Night? God, You're Pathetic catchphrase and meme. The tweet received roughly 68,000 likes in three months (shown below, left). Additionally, the image of the bath mat originates from an Etsy ^[2] product listing by shop owner KylesRugs (shown below, right).

On April 8th, 2022, TikToker^[3] dillvveed posted a video that used a smooth jazz sound and showed just the image of the Rouge bath mat. Midway through the five-second video, dillvveed reads the catchphrase in a seductive voice. Over the course of three months, it received roughly 186,400 plays and 31,900 likes (shown below, left). On April 24th, TikToker^[4] chriss_wade posted a video that used dillvveed's audio and animated the scene. Over the course of three weeks, his TikTok received roughly 1.8 million plays and 192,100 likes (shown below, right).

Additionally, chriss_wade posted his animation to YouTube^[5] on April 30th, 2022, where in the same time period it received roughly 32,000 views and over 830 likes (shown below).

On April 27th, 2022, TikToker^[6] elfgalneia was the first to use the audio of chriss_wade's video, animating Elf Gal Neia the goblin saying the catchphrase to the video's viewer. In three months, the TikTok received roughly 56,300 plays and 7,900 likes (shown below, left). On April 30th, TikToker^[7] msswishyy also posted an animation with the audio, showing a female character appearing while a male character is peeing. In three months, the video received roughly 96,800 plays and 16,900 likes (shown below, right).

Inspired by the aforementioned TikTok, many male TikTokers posted videos on May 2nd, 2022, that showed their IRL girlfriends appearing behind them. It is unknown who the first uploader was on May 2nd, however, the one with the most engagement was TikToker^[8] 420koreaboo's video, earning roughly 2.3 million plays and 375,000 likes in two months (shown below).

As the sound gained more videos, male TikTokers made many jokes about their girlfriends holding their penises while they pissed or referenced the No, I'm With The Science Team trend.

Another trend then emerged showed IRL girlfriends laying on the ground and sliding under the toilet with just their heads to interrupt their boyfriends peeing. This originated from a TikTok posted on June 15th, 2022, by TikToker^[9] jadelovesm3 who received roughly 1.1 million plays and 198,900 likes in one month (shown below, left). On June 17th, verified TikTokers^[10] zackandnat recreated jadelovesm3's video, earning roughly 6.8 million plays and 641,900 likes in the same time period (shown below, right).
