The edit gained over 950,000 views on YouTube,^[4] 10,800 views on TikTok^[5] and 1,500 likes on Instagram^[6] in one year (shown below).

In the following year, eli_handle_b.wav posted more edits in which they placed various movie characters and prominent YouTubers, such as Filthy Frank, into video games. For example, on September 28th, 2021, eli_handle_b.wav posted an edit that placed Patrick Bateman from American Psycho into Fallout 4, which gained over 430,000 views on YouTube^[7] in one year (shown below, left). On October 18th, 2021, the creator posted a video titled, "Austin Powers in Mass Effect: Part 1," which received over 2 million views on YouTube^[8] in one year (shown below, right).

As of August 25th, 2022, the two most viewed videos shared by eli_handle_b.wav, "Mr Bean in Cyperpunk 2077" and "Vladimir Putin in Half-Life 2," had over 2.4 million views and 2.2 million views, respectively (shown below, left and right).^[9]^[10]

On October 21st, eli_handle_b.wav launched a green-screen channel with several exploitable meme templates for others to use.^[11]

Reputation

Several videos posted by eli's channel have received viral spread through reposts. For example, on August 21st, 2022, Twitter^[12] user @Vomit_Dragon reposted a Detroit: Become Human edit, with the post gaining over 901,000 views, 14,500 retweets and 67,900 likes on the website in four days.

Personal Life

The name of the channel, eli_handle_b.wav, is the file name of a gurgling laugh uttered by Half-Life 2 character Eli Vance as he points at his daughter (video shown below).
