The ACE Family is an American YouTuber family from Los Angeles, California comprised of Basketball player Austin McBroom, wife Catherine Paiz and their two children. They upload videos of challenges, family life, pranks and vlogs.

Online History

On January 10th, 2016, the ACE Family joined YouTube. They have gained over 15 million subscribers in three years. On July 27th, 2016, the family posted their first video which was a Q&A (shown below). The video has accumulated over 5 million views and 208,000 likes in three years.

On August 26th, 2017, they uploaded a video entitled "THE BEST PROPOSAL OF ALL TIME!!! (JUMPING OUT OF A PLANE)" which has the most views (27 million) and over one million likes (shown below, left). On December 7th, 2016, they uploaded their second most popular video entitled "THE BEST PRANK OF ALL TIME!!!" which has garnered 22 million views and 808,000 likes in three years (shown below, right).

Basketball Charity Event

On May 17th, 2018, The ACE Family announced in a video that they would be hosting a basketball charity event (shown below). The video gained over four million views and 356,000 likes in a year.

On June 30th, 2018, they held the charity event and announced they would donate any money made towards their charity of choice. The event was a sell-out and included a performance from Glenn Travis. However, when the ACE Family only donated $75,000. ^[1] Austin McBroom took to Instagram live to explain how the money went into the cost of putting on the event (shown below).

Phallic Lollipop Controversy

In January 2019, Austin McBroom posted a video to Snapchat of himself purchasing a penis-shaped candy for his daughter. On January 7th, 2018, Twitter ^[1] user @mustbtaste tweeted the videos. They captioned the post, "this disgusting grown ass man brought A CHILD TO A SEX SHOP AND BOUGHT A DICK SHAPED LOLLIPOP FOR HER." The post received more than 22,000 retweets, 52,000 likes and 4 million views in four days (shown below).

Break Announcement

On January 28th, 2019, the ACE Family posted a video entitled "SAYING GOODBYE…TAKING A BREAK FROM YOUTUBE!!! WE WILL MISS YOU GUYS" to YouTube. The video gained 4,852,364 views and 282,000 in two days (shown below). In the video the couple announces that they will be taking a short break from YouTube while they work on a documentary that will be release on February 23rd, 2019.

On January 29th, Paiz^[2] tweeted that the Trailer for the documentary would be out in a two days (shown below). The tweet gained 688 retweets and 10,779 likes in one day.

On January 30th, McBroom^[3] followed with a tweet relaying how excited he is for the trailer to come out. The tweet gained
378 retweets and 7,097 likes in one day (shown below).
