I've Had Enough Of This Dude refers to an exploitable image from It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia in which the character Mac looks at a picture of George Washington and declares "I've had enough of this dude." In the exploitables, the person in the picture is changed.

Origin

The scene comes from season 4, episode 11 of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, "The Gang Cracks the Liberty Bell," which aired November 6th, 2008.^[1] In the scene, Mac, Charlie and Dennis are attempting to make their bar, Paddy's Pub, a historical landmark. They remark on a picture of first American president George Washington, saying he looks like an ugly old woman, and Mac says "I've really had enough of this dude."

Spread

The image associated with the meme began circulating around Tumblr in the mid-2010s. It was posted on February 4th, 2014 to Tumblr aggregator Rebloggy, albeit with incorrect subtitles.^[2]

Exploitable edits began appearing on Tumblr a little over a year later. An early edit posted on June 2nd, 2015 by itsalwaysprettyinrosewood^[3] inserted a character from Pretty Little Liars into the image, gaining 44 notes (shown below, left). On June 20th, grandtheftchocobo^[4] posted a version referencing JoJo's Bizarre Adventure that gained over 690 points (shown below, right).

In the following years, the exploitable spread primarily throughout Tumblr and Facebook meme pages as people inserted various other characters into the image and changed the text to say something other than the original quote. On September 25th, 2016, Lamington posted the template to ShitpostBot 5000 ^[6](shown below, left). One of the more popular examples of the meme was posted by mrmidnightesq^[5] on June 13th, 2017 and featured an image of Kirby with the text edited to read "I've never had enough of this dude" gained over 39,000 notes (shown below, right).
