About

I Ain't Reading All That, also known as I Ain't Reading Allat, is a TikTok sound originally said by TikToker @thecubancrusher in December 2022 that's used in memes to portray not wanting to read something. The concept is reminiscent of the I Ain't Reading All That reaction image from 2020 on Twitter. Cuban Crusher's quote became notable in early 2023 as meme creators used it to make fun of long text messages, sections in tests or homework, as well as the notoriously long manga One Piece, among other topics.

Origin

On December 12th, 2022, TikToker[1] thecubancrusher posted a video in which he angrily stated, "I ain't reading all that. You also ain't gettin' no bitches 'cause you read at a third-grade level and your mom slept with the principal just to get you passed middle school." The video also had text overlay reading, "I ain't reading allat." Over the course of one month, the video received roughly 1.4 million plays and 242,100 likes (shown below).

Spread

On December 26th, 2022, TikToker[2] fwtemuu used thecubancrusher's audio, remixing it with a slowed + reverb version of Playboi Carti's "JumpOutTheHouse."[3] TikToker[2] fwtemuu's video showed multiple chapters of the One Piece manga, humorously emphasizing, "I ain't reading all that," and instead showing images from Naruto. Over the course of one month, the video received roughly 354,300 plays and 33,600 likes (shown below).

Following TikToker[2] fwtemuu's video, many creators on the app started using the sound[4] to portray different, humorous scenarios in which the quote, "I ain't reading all that," was warranted. For instance, on December 27th, 2022, TikToker[5] its.iman789 used the sound with text reading, "*mom post a tik tok video about her missing son* some random mf in the comments," and earned roughly 84,800 plays and 19,400 likes in one month (shown below, left). Also on December 27th, TikToker[6] princelegittv used the sound for a video about the "comment section" not reading his videos with a lot of text, earning roughly 371,100 plays and 46,100 likes in one month (shown below, right).

More usage of the sound[4] continued into January 2023, whereby on January 24th, the sound had amassed roughly 6,700 videos.
