The fight, originally set to take place on April 15th, 2023, between Froggy Fresh and Chris Ray Gun, was temporarily put on hold while a replacement fighter is being found. Exact details as to why Froggy Fresh was removed have not been made public, leading to significant speculation online, as well as backlash for removing him after months of training.

Background

On March 23rd, 2023, Froggy Fresh uploaded a "hype-up clip" to his Twitter[2] in which he talked about the upcoming fight and how badly he was going to beat his opponent. At the end of the video, he stated that if he didn't do well enough, he would punish himself by subscribing to Anisa Jomha's OnlyFans, the wife of iDubbbz (shown below).

On March 25th, it was then announced via the Creator Clash[1] Twitter page that Froggy Fresh was being removed from the fight card, with a follow-up tweet detailing that Creator Clash wanted to create an inclusive and fun space for creators and felt that Froggy's recent behavior was not aligned with that. The tweets, which had been viewed over 13 million times combined, had their comment replies turned off shortly after they were tweeted (shown below).

Although the official reason has not been provided as to the removal, many speculated it to be a direct result of a public back-and-forth between Froggy Fresh and Maureen, the mother of Anisa Jomha (the head organizer and wife of headliner iDubbbz) on March 24th, 2023. This public fighting between the two on Twitter[3] (shown below) followed the initial video posted by Froggy, with Maureen coming to Anisa's defense of having her OnlyFans brought up.

Online Reactions

On March 26th, 2023, Froggy Fresh responded to his removal from Creator Clash 2 with a song that he wrote and uploaded to Twitter in which he gives his side of the event and asks for the fight to continue, receiving over 1.2 million views in 24 hours (shown below).

As a reaction to the removal, Moist Cr1tikal quote retweeted the Creator Clash tweet and expressed his disappointment at the removal,[4] stating that he felt everything was above the board in terms of generic pre-fight banter and he should be reinstated (shown below). The tweet received over 33,800 likes and 1,100 retweets in three days.
