Down Bad Man is a character created by TikToker MikeCakez in which the defining character trait is that he is always Down Bad or looking at things that are just slightly sexual and being overly sexually charged by them, in reference to the slang term of the same name. The character is then interrupted by someone saying "Sir, Sir!" that causes Down Bad Man to ask for whatever the item or object being shown is.

Origin

The first video to have the Down Bad Man character was posted on January 20th, 2021, by MikeCakez^[1] official channel, and it first features some cooking taking place, with the character being interrupted by a waiter, he then asks for two hot bowls of whatever it is that's being cooked. The Tiktok would be the official part 0 of the series, and a year later would have over 9.2 million views and 1.2 million likes (shown below).

Spread

The big hit that started off the Down Bad Man^[2] series was posted on January 24th, 2021, and it features a fish that someone sticks their finger into to show off how it powerfully grabs onto and suctions the person's appendage, before cutting to Down Bad Man asking for the fish despite it already being sold. The Tiktok would quickly eclipse the previous proto-type video, gaining over 9.6 million views and 1.6 million likes in one year (shown below).

On February 8th, 2022, MikeCakez changed up the formula by having part four of Down Bad Man be Down Bad Woman, with him wearing a wig and acting as a woman who is down bad about something that is shown in front of her, similar to Down Bad Man but with different products. The first TikTok^[3] of Down Bad Woman received over 150,000 likes in one year and was about a jelly donut machine (shown below).

Down Bad Man achieved widespread virality on February 10th, 2021, when the YouTuber and Boxer KSI uploaded a video^[4] of him reacting to various videos and three of Down Bad Man were featured, leading to a large influx of people to his TikTok channel, and over 18.5 million views on KSI's video in just over a year (shown below).
