The image is often reposted with a phrasal template that starts with the line "Bas kar bhai," which translates to "Stop it bro." The meme stems from a scene from the anime Symphogear, and first gained virality in the fall of 2020.

Origin

In an episode of the Japanese anime Symphogear, a character named Maria Cadenzavna Eve performs a song that is broadcast around the world, including on a giant screen next to the Taj Mahal in India. The scene featured various Indian men sobbing as they listened to her song (seen below).
