Sometime before March 18th, a funeral was being livestreamed from a church so that friends and family members could attend virtually if needed. According to texts from a funeralgoer who shared what happened after the event, the Zoom attendees were being streamed live on a large screen in front of the rest of the church for all to see.

One of the attendees was Hayley Sinclair, a mom of two. While the funeral was going on, Sinclair apparently decided it was a good time to jump in the shower for a little shave. Unbeknownst to her, she'd left her camera on. Of note, there was also no shower curtain … so you can guess what happened next.

What Happened After The Accidental Zoom Call?

According to attendees, she showed up at the wake afterward, obviously distraught about the whole thing after she'd realized what happened.

While little is known about how the Zoom funeral went down with the NSFW video occurring in the background, it's pretty clear that the funeral's virtual attendees were not particularly amused, at least many of them.

A man named Mike Dixon, in particular, seems to have one of the more memorable reactions to the video playing alongside the service, which quickly became the subject of numerous memes.

How Did The 'Pubes Incident' Spread Online?

First, members of the livestream began to react in various ways. They posted about it on WhatsApp, and eventually the news made it to the site once known as Twitter as well.

By March 18th, the news started to spread outside private circles, and several videos were shared with the public (which will not be shared here).

The incident represents everyone's worst-case fears about leaving the Zoom camera on. It's unknown how Sinclair was related to the deceased, but it's likely that she will have a lot of difficulty getting her family and friends in attendance to forget about this.
