The long-awaited Five Nights at Freddy's movie has been getting a lot of hype over the past year as fans of the long-running FNAF series eagerly wait to see their favorite spooky characters come to life.

However, some fans are a little nervous after hearing about an alleged scene from the movie where the evil animatronics team up with the protagonist and utter the cliche line, "Together, we are FNAF". But what does the line mean and is the scene real? Here's what you need to know.

What Is The 'Together We Are FNAF' Scene Meme?

In early October 2023, a TikToker posted a video expressing his concern that the killer animatronics would team up with the protagonist of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie at some point due to a particular screengrab from one of the film's trailers. That day, a commenter imagined corny dialogue for the scene, writing, "together we are FNAF" to over 145,000 likes.

The next day, Redditor u/BatsoBen posted a series of photoshops of the same screengrab. The photoshops add dialogue under the characters that make it appear as if the animatronic characters, the villains of the movie, are teaming up with the protagonist to take on an ultimate evil animatronic, Springtrap. The post is titled, "Bro I swear if the movie is like this 😭😭," expressing hope that the movie is not comparable to the photoshops.

The phrase "Together, we are FNAF" stood out to people who saw the meme as particularly funny and cliche. It was quickly shared across social media as TikTokers began using the phrase and related cheesy, cliche movie lines in memes about the film, often expressing how they would walk out of the movie disappointed if it ended up being that corny and abandoning the series' lore to that degree.

Is The 'Together We Are FNAF' Scene Real?

As the meme spread and the release of the FNAF movie drew nearer, some people began to claim that the "we are FNAF" scene, or at least a similar scene, was actually in the film. Some users even went as far as uploading footage of the movie's early premiere viewings, claiming the shown scene is the "we are FNAF" scene. However, this does not seem to be true.

The "together we are FNAF" memes went viral well before the release of the Five Nights at Freddy's movie, which is set to release on the night of October 26th, 2023 on the Peacock streaming service and October 27th in theaters. The videos claiming the scene exists are completely unconfirmed and very unlikely to be real based on the fact that the phrase is derived from a meme on Reddit. Most likely, the shown seen is taken out of context.
